Implement effectively together

Team Calibration for leader and team

Align strategic priorities, roles and collaboration so that implementation carries in everyday work.

Strategic priorities rarely fail in teams only because of missing agreement. Contributions, roles, decision paths and cultural expectations are often unspoken or contradictory. Team Calibration helps a leader and the existing team create a shared foundation for collaboration and implementation and test it directly in everyday work.

Leadership calibration in practice
The starting point

When collaboration slows implementation.

The offer is for an existing working, functional or project team. It is distinct from the existing Team Journey for leadership teams and is not positioned as mediation or a generic team-building event.

01

The team contribution to strategy is unclear.

People work hard but cannot consistently see how their contribution advances the direction.

02

Roles and decision spaces overlap.

Responsibility is negotiated repeatedly instead of being usable in the flow of work.

03

Decisions are repeatedly reopened.

Meetings create discussion but not enough shared commitment.

04

Coordination replaces accountability.

The team aligns often without creating a clear next action or owner.

05

Conflicts and performance deviations surface too late.

Important signals are softened until they become harder to address.

06

Pressure brings back old routines.

The team loses newly agreed ways of working as soon as the context becomes demanding.

07

The leader compensates for ambiguity.

The leader steers too personally instead of enabling shared ownership.

For whom

For existing teams that want implementation to become more reliable.

Team Calibration is designed for leaders and their existing teams in growth, reorganization or strategic realignment – particularly where collaboration is currently not supporting the required implementation.

  • Working, functional or project teams.
  • Leaders working together with their team.
  • Teams in growth, reorganization or strategic realignment.
  • Teams with a new leader.
  • Teams whose collaboration does not yet support implementation.
The shared logic

Common Understanding. Commitment. Continuous Calibration.

Contribution, roles and collaboration become explicit, agreed and usable in the everyday situations that determine implementation.

01

Common Understanding

Create clarity about strategic team contribution, roles and required collaboration.

02

Commitment

Agree three to five concrete commitments for responsibility, decisions and behaviour.

03

Continuous Calibration

Apply the agreements in real situations and adjust them deliberately.

The eight-week process

A practical team reset, tested at the interfaces that matter.

    Team Context & Impact Snapshot

Understand mandate, contribution, roles and existing patterns.

  2. 02–03

    Team Calibration Day

Align contribution, expectations, roles and collaboration together.

  3. 04–05

    Application Cycles

Test agreements in decisions, meetings and interfaces.

  4. 06–07

    Calibration Dialogues

Use two short reflection and adjustment loops.

  5. 08

    Team Impact Review

Review impact and set the next 90-day agenda.

Concrete outcomes

What the team can use immediately.

Team Impact Map

A shared view of where collaboration creates or loses impact.

A clear link between team contribution and strategic priorities.

Clear roles and decision spaces

Less friction at interfaces and in recurring decisions.

Three to five Team Commitments

A small set of agreements that can be observed.

Concrete behaviour agreements

Specific ways of working together under pressure.

Adapted meeting and decision routines

Routines that create more clarity and commitment.

Leader Calibration Focus

A personal focus for the leader’s contribution.

90-Day Team Agenda

A practical agenda for continued implementation.

Digital Mindtrigger and reflection prompts

Lightweight support for continued calibration.

A clear distinction

Team Calibration is not the existing Team Journey.

The existing Team Journey supports a leadership team made up of several leaders in developing a shared leadership understanding. Team Calibration supports one leader and their existing working, functional or project team in strategy implementation, roles and collaboration. It is also not acute conflict mediation, a generic team-building event or a substitute for an unclear strategy.
