Culture Workshop – Shaping a culture that supports strategy

The Culture Workshop creates clarity around values, leadership principles, and concrete behavioral anchors. Its purpose is to align culture with strategic direction and make it effective in everyday leadership practice.

Purpose of the Culture Workshop

The purpose of the workshop is to define or sharpen the organization’s culture in a way that actively supports its strategic direction and is jointly owned by the leadership team. This includes clearly articulated values, an aligned leadership culture, and agreed guidelines for behavior and collaboration. The outcomes provide a solid foundation for communication, day to day orientation, and ongoing cultural development.

Structure and flow of the Culture Workshop

1. Understanding the current culture in a strategic context

The workshop begins with a structured reflection on the existing organizational culture, viewed explicitly in relation to the strategic direction. The leadership team clarifies what currently shapes the organization, what strengthens it, and what stands in the way of effective execution.

2. Defining values and behavioral expectations

Based on this reflection, core values are defined or refined. These values establish a clear frame of reference for behavior, communication, and decision making in everyday leadership situations.

3. Aligning the leadership culture

In parallel, the existing leadership culture is examined. Together, the leadership team defines the leadership principles required to support the strategic direction. Values and leadership principles are aligned with the strategic ambition to ensure coherence.

4. Documentation and implementation

After the workshop, the results are captured in a structured documentation. If desired, we support implementation through short reflection and adjustment sessions to review experience, consolidate learning, and sharpen next steps.

Outcomes for your leadership team

1. A clearly defined organizational culture

The leadership team defines or sharpens core values that align with the strategic direction. These values provide orientation for behavior, communication, and collaboration across the organization.

2. Aligned leadership principles

Clear principles are established for how leadership is understood and practiced within the organization. They create a shared foundation for consistent leadership behavior, independent of individual styles.

3. A shared understanding of the current culture

Through structured reflection, the leadership team gains a realistic view of the current cultural reality. It becomes clear what strengthens the organization and where cultural patterns hinder strategy execution.

4. Clear rollout and integration

The team agrees on how values and leadership principles will be communicated, embedded in daily practice, and reviewed over time. This ensures that culture remains tangible and visible in everyday behavior.

Michael Gobran – Managing Partner, GOBRAN®

“Many organizations have a very clear picture of the culture they aspire to. The desired state is well described. The actual state, however, becomes visible in everyday leadership practice. When leadership teams do not share a common understanding of how culture is lived in practice, the organization loses orientation. Effective culture work therefore does not start with statements or values on paper, but with a shared understanding of how leadership shapes culture day by day.”
